Description of the process

Cooling in the steel industry

  1. In the steel industry, the aluminum cooling process is carried out through a structured system.
    The full cycle of heating, casting, extrusion, and cooling lasts several hours. During this time,
    the cooling system must manage the generated heat to avoid overheating.
  2. Large-capacity water tanks are used to cool these processes. These tanks are divided into sections by gates that allow for sludge separation and hot water management. The first tank receives the hot water from the process, and the last one is where cold water is drawn from.
  3. The tower is used to reduce the water temperature before returning it to the casting pit.
    The tower water transfers the heat absorbed during the cooling process. The tower’s capacity must be sufficient to keep the water temperature below 30°C, ensuring the production cycle can be carried out continuously and efficiently.
  4. The cooling system must operate continuously to ensure that the water in the tanks remains at the appropriate temperature.
