Torres de refrigeración - Industria papelera
THE CHALLENGE
Cooling of the papermaking process for a water flow of 1,600 m3 / h minimizing noise emissions.
SOLUTION: THANKS TO THE REFRIGERATION TOWERS
The PME-E cooling towers supplied through CAMpreq (Sweden) combine a design for large water flows with a considerable reduction in noise level.
The choice of the best solution was taken together with the end user, as explained by our distributor, CAMpreq, together with whom we visited the pulp factory.
Two elements were decisive to calculate the size of the tower,: the flow of water to cool, about 1,600 m3 / h, and the noise limits. A customized solution was designed with 4 PME-E 7204 open circuit cooling towers that work with Super Silent.
The cooling towers, 7.2 x 1.2 meters each, have four vertical layers of heat exchange surfaces that allow a thermal jump of 49º of water to projections of 31º.
The installed “Super Silent” version uses 16-pole motors and fans with a special wing profile. This solution considerably reduces the levels of sound pressure and power while minimising the power requirements of the fans.
MITA Group has also provided anti-splash mats in the collection basins and sound-absorbing coatings.
BENEFITS FOR THE CUSTOMER
- Energy savings thanks to the low power installed in the fans.
- Noise reduction during the operation of the cooling towers.
- The use of anticorrosive materials, fiberglass.
- Large removable inspection doors to facilitate cleaning and maintenance of the cooling tower.
