The solution offered by Torraval in hybrid refrigerators is the HBR series, which consists in two heat exchangers which operate alternately . This, allows to reduce energetic consumption limiting strictly necessary for the operation of battery operation, preserving the battery that is out of operation of getting polluted due to possible impurities in the air, and also any thermal alteration by the presence of another exchanger. It has a refrigeration capacity of up to 1.000Kw.
The hybrid refrigerator from the HBR series it combines the particular feature resistance to corrosion our range of products and objective of minimizing water and energy consumption.
It's made with a robust steel supporting structure hot galvanizing, PRFV sandwich panels for the walls, swimming pool water collection and GRP roof. The tubular heat exchanger for wet function consists of a battery of smooth steel tubes of high quality according to the Pressure Equipment 97/23 / EC norm and hot dip galvanized after manufacturing. The tubular heat exchanger for dry function comprises copper tubes and aluminum fins. They are located on top of the unit in upright position, out of the refrigeration body, hence there is no interference by the flow of moist air when not in use. The units are equipped with aluminum pressure and gravity deflectors, which open or close depending on the direction of airflow. The standard equipment of each unit includes a water collection pool with sloped bottom for easy draining and fan ferrules, both made of GRP.

HBR is designed in order to consume the bare minimum. Within the space of a year it exploits the most appropriate cooling method depending on the different climatic conditions.
• Maximum efficiency of wet function (summer)
The fluid flows inside the smooth tubes heat exchanger and it is cooled by evaporation. The finned tubes’ coils are in stand-by and they are located outside the saturated air flow, sucked by the ventilators.
• Maximum efficiency of dry function (winter)
The fluid flows inside the finned tubes heat exchangers and it is cooled by air. The smooth tube’s coil is in stand-by and it is outside the warm air flow pushed by the ventilators. Only the necessary energy for the air circulation through the finned coils is consumed.
In both cases the air flow is not influenced by the stand-by heat exchanger presence and the pressure drop is reduced.
